Robots and drones
Some of our case histories
THE ROBOT AS PRESENTER
Vodafone was looking for an innovative way to present its 5G technology to business customers, in order to engage them and stimulate their curiosity.
5G was a trendy topic and many operators were presenting their solutions at the same time, it was essential for Vodafone to stand out from the competition with a memorable event.
To meet the customer’s needs, we employed two Kuka robotic arms. The robots were equipped with two led wall screens, which could rotate in the air according to pre-programmed choreographies. A first moment was dedicated to the emotional intro, in which robots interacted with a video content broadcast on the screens while, for the rest of the presentation, the robots remained on stage to support the speaker who needed to show slides and visual contents .
The Robot As A Dancer
Swiss Radio and Television needed to create a dynamic interlude for a program on the subject of data and robots.
What better occasion to surprise spectators with a choreography that blends creativity and technology? The result sees two massive industrially-derived Kuka robot arms dance alongside two human dancers. The robots performed pre-programmed choreography and appeared to interact in real time with the performers.
Animate the Sky
How to simulate an alien invasion for the launch of the film Men in Black: International at the Giffoni Film Festival and make the event go viral?
We programmed a swarm of 100 drones to perform a choreography and light up the sky.
The swarm made up several shapes including a flying saucer and the film’s logo. We also took care of the administrative part, relating to permits to fly over the area.
THE ROBOT AS STYLIST
Innovatively promote the clothing collection created by Huawei’s Artificial Intelligence, in collaboration with stylist Anna Yang.
We developed a choreography with a small Kuka robot, installed in the window of a Huawei shop in Milan. The robot simulated the creative and manual work that led to the creation of the clothing collection.
THE ROBOT AS ARTIST
Kuka, one of the leading robot manufacturers in the world, asked us for support in promoting their new CYBERTECH KR model. The campaign specifically concerned the MECSPE fair in Parma, an important event in the manufacturing industry.
We have programmed the CYBERTECH KR to perform writing and drawing movements in real time. The robot was equipped with a laser pointer which, connected to a screen, showed the result of the movement in real time.
THE ROBOT AS AN ACTOR
FICO , the modern cultural park of Bologna, needed to exhibit some themes in an innovative way. The goal was to involve the public with a story that represented a bridge between tradition and innovation .
We have created an installation capable of transforming a robot into an actor . The installation, in fact, consists of a small show that is always active, where the video contents are projected with an indoor mapping technique while the robot interacts with them in real time. The story traces the story of a farmer, played by the robot, who works on his land during the phases that make up the production cycle of agri-food products.
